Transportation

ABC is mobile, without a storefront or home base. Our transportation service is the lifeline of ABC and what differentiates us from the traditional residential day and overnight summer camps. Unlike those camps, ABC’s outdoor adventure programming is designed to transport campers every day to new locations in nature to experience new authentic outdoor adventures.

Rendezvous Locations: We assign each camp a designated rendezvous location. The rendezvous location is where we meet each morning and afternoon to pickup and drop-off the campers. Every morning and afternoon/evening parents must meet ABC at the rendezvous location. We operate according to schedules, so please be prompt in dropping-off and picking up your camper(s). The campers load into ABC vehicles and depart from the rendezvous location to that day’s outdoor adventure. At the end of the day, ABC returns the (sleeping) campers to the rendezvous location.

ABC provides transportation using leased Nissan NV or Ford Transit 15 person passenger vans. All van drivers are ABC employees, 21 or older and are subject to annual criminal background and driving records checks.  All van drivers also take ABC’s in-house van driving orientation & training and are required to take a third-party defensive driving course.

ABC has Vehicle & Transportation Policies, a Vehicles Safety Checklist, Emergency Procedures and Passenger Policies. All campers must abide by the Passenger Policies.
